i love overthinking artistic choices in games so i might sound insane here but i think this theme fits franks journey very well. This theme is another version of franks theme. the first time we hear franks theme is on the helicopter when we're taking pictures of the outbreak from above. and notably in that theme there is what i can only describe as a "newscast alert synth" (im not good at describing music lol). alongside franks goal he relays to the pilot, it's clear frank doesn't have a huge interest in interviening, he wants to break the story, not save the day. and yet throughout the game, he ends up getting more and more involved in the case. In this theme, the newscaster synth from franks original theme is missing, and i feel it highlights that he's no longer just the eyes on the scoop, hes had to become the subject of the story. Or maybe they just thought it sounded neat idk lol
